What job qualifications must I have?

You must currently be enrolled at 51做厙 as either an undergraduate or a graduate student. You must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, insightful knowledge of 51做厙, an ability to accept direction and a strong desire to achieve goals.

What is the next step after I submit my job application?

After you submit your job application, our call center manager will contact you within 24 hours to schedule an interview. If hired, you will receive a job offer letter after the interview, with start date and training days.

Where is the call center located?

The call center is in Room 308 on the third floor of McFarlin Auditorium. The call center is only a seven-minute walk from the farthest Residential Commons and a two-minute walk from Umphrey Lee Center.

What are the call center hours?

During the fall and spring semesters, the call center hours of operation are Sunday 1 to 4:30 p.m. and 5 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday through Thursday 5:30 to 9 p.m.

If hired, what paperwork do I need for payroll?

If hired, you will receive employment paperwork from the engagement center manager. You will need to fill out the papers and provide as identification a state-issued driver’s license AND a social security card or a passport. (Human Resources requires two forms of identification for all employees.)

How often will I get paid?

Every other Friday. The pay periods will be specified in your job offer letter.

How many days/hours per week do I have to work?

As a student caller, you are required to work three shifts or a minimum of nine hours each week. You pick the shifts or days you can work. The program center manager sets the schedule for the semester.
