Biographical Note
Susan Brewer (Cornell PhD, Class of 1987) is currently working on a book about land and identity on Oneida Indian territory in New York State, as well as a project on troops, history, and memory in relation to American war propaganda. She has authored several books on war propaganda in the United States, including Why America Fights: Patriotism and War Propaganda from the Philippines to Iraq (2009) She served as a professor of American history at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 1990 to 2015, specializing in the history of U.S. foreign relations.
