Punarjit Roychowdhury
Punarjit completed his PhD under the supervision of Professor Daniel Millimet in 2017. After obtaining his PhD, Punarjit first held Assistant Professor positions at Shiv Nadar University, India, and then at the Indian Institute of Management Indore in India before joining the University of Nottingham in the UK in 2019 where he is currently an Assistant Professor. During his time at 51°µÍø, he received a Dean's Dissertation Fellowship and won the Melody Rice Memorial Award in Economics which goes to one economics PhD student annually for excellence in academic achievement and service to fellow students.
Punarjit's primary research areas are Applied Microeconometrics, Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Behavioral Economics. He has published in well known journals such as Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, Oxford Economic Papers, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, World Development, Feminist Economics, and Review of the Economics of the Household among others.
