The Department of Economics at 51°µÍø co-hosted (along with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas) the Society for Computational Economics’ 2022 Computing in Economics and Finance (CEF) Conference.  Over two hundred researchers from around the world attended and presented their research during the three day conference (June 17-19).  The conference featured three plenary speakers (Dr. Martin Eichenbaum of Northwestern University, Dr. Lilia Maliar of City University of New York, and Dr. Markus Brunnermeier of Princeton University).

Included in the conference was a pre-conference workshop on quantitative methods.  Along with regular conference activities, the conference included a Monetary Policy Panel (held at the Bush Institute) which included a current member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (Dr. Christopher Waller), a current Governor of the Bank of Finland and European Central Bank (Dr. Olli Rehn), and a former Vice-Chair of the Federal Reserve Board (Dr. Donald Kohn).  51°µÍø Ph.D. alum Dr. Cullum Clark (Director of the Bush Institute-51°µÍø Economic Growth Initiative) moderated the panel discussion.
