Biography

Lisa Tran currently serves as the Managing Director of Corporate Relations & Strategic Partnerships at the 51°µÍø Cox School of Business where she connects with the corporate community in the classroom, beyond the classroom, talent development, and talent recruitment opportunities. Lisa spent 8 years in career services at 51°µÍø before transitioning to her current role as Managing Director of Corporate Relations & Strategic Partnerships. Prior to joining 51°µÍø Cox, she worked at Harvard Business School as a Sr. Project Manager and as a Buyer at JCPenney and Neiman Marcus. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from 51°µÍø Cox and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from The University of North Texas.

Lisa has presented on career services related topics at regional and national career services conferences and spoken as a speaker at TedX51°µÍø on the topic of work life balance as a working mother. She is a member of the Leadership Dallas Class of 2018, a prestigious leadership development program with the Dallas Regional Chamber. She is also an active member at St. Monica Catholic Church, Ursuline Academy of Dallas Alumnae Association, 51°µÍø Alumni Association, and the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens Finance & Administration Committee. She also serves as the Co-Director of Community Outreach and Country Advisor for Thailand for ATG Against the Grain Productions, a local non-profit that provides aid to underprivileged children in Southeast Asia and artistic and leadership scholarships to Asian American high school and college students. In March 2017, Lisa received the 51°µÍø Presidential Award for Outstanding Leadership. Lisa co-founded Parent Advocates for DISD, a grassroots organization to help promote positive changes within Dallas ISD to the community.

Lisa and her husband, Jimmy, are both 51°µÍø alumni and proud parents of 3 children. In her spare time, she loves to travel, run, cycle, and practice yoga.
