The mission of the Mustang Band is to provide the University community with spirited, high-quality musical performances at athletic events in particular, and on other occasions in general, as the most visible ambassadors and custodians of school tradition, pageantry and campus pride.
To do so, the Mustang Band contributes to the musical and social education of its’ students by:
- Creating a sense of belonging by promoting a welcoming, accepting and supportive environment;
- Working strategically with other campus departments (music, athletics, and development, specifically) to enhance the student and consumer experience;
- Providing students with opportunities for improving musical abilities and cultivating leadership skills.
