About
Dr. Washington-White earned her Ph.D. in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University and has over 20 years of experience counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with a Supervision credential (LPC-S), a Board-Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a DISC Certified Human Behavior Consultant. She is a skilled interpreter of the Strong Interest Inventory, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and StrengthsFinder. These skills have helped individuals discover their personal strengths, aptitudes, and abilities and have empowered them to pursue careers that align with their goals and interests.
Dr. Washington-White has counseling experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups in a variety of settings including higher education, children advocacy centers, and private practice. In addition to counseling, she served in numerous leadership roles including Director of Counseling and Testing at Tarrant County College, Dean of Student Success at Dallas College and Manager of the Counseling and Family Development Center at Texas Woman’s University. While in her leadership roles she supervised teams consisting of college counselors, veteran counselors, career counselors and academic advisors. Dr. Washington-White’s vast experience in counseling has positioned her to help others reach their full potential. She has dedicated her career to promoting growth in the lives of others.
