Audrey Robinson, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, Certified-CCPT, CSC

Dr. Robinson is a full time Play Therapist for the Mesquite ISD CARE Clinic, a community mental health clinic that is part of the school district. Prior to her current role as Play Therapist, she spent seven years as an elementary school counselor and five years as an elementary school teacher. Audrey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from 51°µÍø and a masters and Ph.D. in counseling from TAMU-C, where she worked as an adjunct counselor educator since 2015.She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and is certified in Child-Centered Play Therapy. Dr. Robinson has completed research over the effects of Child-Centered Play Therapy with elementary students with ADHD and has published works over play therapy, working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders, and non-suicidal self-injury. She has presented at state and local conferences over play therapy, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and trauma. She has written SEL curriculum for two districts and helped pioneer an SEL model.
