Ministers Week 2010
Perkins School of Theology hosts Ministers Week February 1-3, 2010, at the Hughes-Trigg Student Center on the 51°µÍø campus. The annual gathering complements the University’s year-long observance of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth with "The Pew and the Petri Dish: Contemporary Issues in Religion and Science." Dr. Haught was the winner of the Owen Garrigan Award in Science and Religion in 2002 and the Sophia Award for Theological Excellence in 2004. Other lecturers include Dr. Gregory Cuellar, a three-time fellow of the Hispanic Theological Initiative and adjunct professor of Bible at Richland College, as well 51°µÍø faculty members John Holbert, Rebekah Miles and William Abraham of Perkins School of Theology and Mark Chancey of Dedman College.
Perkins Ministers Week is held annually, generally on the first Monday through Wednesday in February. This continuing education program includes endowed lectureships, a variety of worship services, workshops, and symposia, drawing participants from throughout the United States and beyond.
