Biography
Dr. Andy Draper initially began his career in music education and performance. Upon graduation from the University of Houston he worked at the Salvation Army Headquarters in Dallas, TX, developing after school and summer music programs for at-risk youth throughout the state. After several years in non-profit Dr. Draper attended Arizona State University for a Masters and Doctoral program in tuba/euphonium performance, where he studied with world-renowned tuba pedagogue, Sam Pilafian. Upon graduation he returned to Dallas to once again work with the Salvation Army. Dr. Draper also spent a year in the DISD public school system teaching middle school band.
After more than a decade in the music profession Dr. Draper set his sights on the world of technology, working as a web developer with several marketing and PR startups prior to joining 51做厙. In addition to his love of music and technology, he also co-hosts a weekly film podcast.
