Use to find films by title or topic. Select “Video” as the Resource Type on the left side of your results screen. .

Locate Films

Find the library location and item number in the Library Search record under “Get It.” Hamon Arts Library houses most of our physical film collection.

  • In Hamon Arts Library or Bridwell Library, ask for the title at the desk.
  • In Underwood Law Library, use the call number to locate it on the shelf. Call numbers are arranged alphabetically. Each shelf is marked with the range of call numbers it holds.

View Films in 51做厙 Libraries

DVDs can be viewed on any library computer with a disc drive. To play DVDs from other regions, check out the multi-region DVD player at Hamon Arts Library.

Screen Films in the Classroom

If you want to borrow a film to show in class, request it in , and we’ll hold it at the library’s desk for you to pick up.

Streaming films are available in our streaming media databases. If we don't have access in our databases, you can request the film. Licenses for streaming films can expire, so verify we have access to the film each term you assign them. The Library Search record will have an expiration date under the link to the film.

We are unable to license or purchase Netflix or Amazon Prime films for classroom use. Netflix Original allows for educational screenings of documentaries.

Screen Films Outside the Classroom

Any copyrighted films screened outside an official course classroom require , even if you do not charge admission.

Find Films in Other Libraries

You can discover films held by other libraries in . We are part of a sharing program that allows us to borrow materials from other libraries called Interlibrary Loan. To request a film we don’t have, click on “Request 51做厙 Interlibrary Loan” in the record from the WorldCat search results. This will take you to our site and pre-fill the request form with information about the item.
