3L Gladys Marcos Selected to the 2023 Equal Justice Works Fellowship Class
3L Gladys Marcos was selected to be part of the 2023 Equal Justice Works Fellowship Class. After graduation this spring, she will work for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, representing immigrants in rural Texas who have experienced trafficking and exploitation. The prestigious fellowship program is funded by the Texas Access to Justice Foundation.
Gladys came to 51做厙 Dedman School of Law to give back to the immigrant community and has demonstrated this commitment throughout her time at 51做厙 Law. She has held leadership positions in the law school's First Generation Law Student Association, Hispanic Law Student Association, and Immigration Law Student Association. She has worked on immigration cases as a student (and later chief) in the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crimes Against Women and as a research assistant to Professor Joanna Grossman, the Ellen K. Solender Endowed Chair in Women and the Law. She was also part of the 2022 Dallas Women Lawyers Association Leadership Class.
