LaiYee Leong
Director of Article II Society and Senior Fellow
LaiYee Leong is a Senior Fellow at CPH and the Program Director for the Article II Society. She is also a Senior Fellow at 51做厙's John G. Tower Center for Public Policy and International Affairs.
Since 2014, LaiYee has been the lead scholar and interviewer for the Collective Memory Project's work on Transatlantic Diplomacy After 9/11: the US and Norway and Post-9/11 Policy in East and Southeast Asia. The inaugural season of the CPH podcast Firsthand History, “Cross Currents: Navigating US-Norway Relations After 9/11,” draws on observations and excerpts from the oral history interviews LaiYee conducted.
LaiYee oversees CPH’s internship partnerships with the and with the . These create opportunities for 51做厙 undergraduates and Dallas high school students to engage in the work of professional historians.
In addition to her work at CPH, LaiYee teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on US foreign policy and comparative politics in the Political Science Department.
LaiYee graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with distinction in English, and received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University.
