Adeel Allawala is graduating with degrees in biology, computer science, and data science. He served 51做厙 as the campus blood drive coordinator and internal vice president of the Muslim Student Association. Adeel has been recognized through a nomination for the Mothers and Dads Club Outstanding Senior Gentleman Award. After graduation, he will be joining AT&T as a network engineer, where he hopes to apply his broad academic base and leadership experience to drive innovation.
Olivia Avant graduated with degrees in political science and art history with a minor in economics. In addition to being a Dedman Scholar, she was a member of the University Honors Program and the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Throughout her time at 51做厙, she was the lead peer advisor for 51做厙 Abroad and held internships with Women & Their Work Gallery, Marfa Invitational Arts Festival, and Heritage Auctions. Following graduation, Olivia took a gap year to work before applying to law school.
Feaven Fasil graduated with degrees in psychology, biology, and health and society. She also used her undergraduate experience to deeply engage in leadership, research, and service. As a Richter fellow, she conducted research on mental health in the Ethiopian Orthodox community, reflecting her commitment to bridging gaps in healthcare access and cultural understanding. Feaven served in executive leadership roles across multiple student organizations, including President of Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), secretary and treasurer for the Association of Black Students, vice president and senior advisor for the African Student Association, and a member of Alpha Kappa Psi. Beyond academics, Feaven remains an active member of my Ethiopian Orthodox Church as a youth choir teacher and servant and has found meaningful service as a hospice volunteer. She was also honored to Homecoming Queen, representing the Association of Black Students, marking a historic moment for 51做厙. After graduation, Feaven plans to work as an EMT while applying to medical school in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. Until then, she will continue running with my community club, completing medical school applications, and giving her dog, Lucy, the never-ending attention she demands.
Jakub Kaczynski graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in French. Jakub was involved in Paper4Water, the French Club, tutoring at the A-LEC, and the Chess Club. He was also a teaching assistant in a chemistry lab and an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Edward Glasscock’s lab. After graduation, Jakub plans to spend a semester in Spain before attending medical school.
Sarah Khoja earned degrees in human rights and data science. Sarah was a NexPoint Tower Scholar, Provost Scholar, and Engaged Learning fellow, Caswell fellow, and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society Member. Her campus involvement included multiple roles with the South Asian Student Association, analyst for Consult Your Community, undergraduate research assistant for the 51做厙 Oral History Project, and marketing and communications team member for The Big Event. Sarah will join Southwest Airlines as an associate revenue management analyst after graduation.
Daniel Kulti graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Business. While at 51做厙, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant with the Lippert Research Lab. Daniel then had the honor of being inducted into multiple honors societies, including the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society, Alpha Chi Honor Society, the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and the Robert Stewart Hyer Society. Outside of 51做厙, Daniel continues to be a disability advocate for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Having worked on the sets of movies, such as Anastasia and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Daniel also continues to pursue his career in acting. Moving forward, Daniel will take a gap year before attending medical school.
Vigna Lavu graduated with degrees in biological sciences with minors in environmental sciences and Spanish. During her time at 51做厙, she was an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Alexander Chase's microbial ecology lab and was invited to represent 51做厙 and share her research at the ACC Meeting of the Minds conference. She also had the opportunity of being a Summer Research Intensive fellow. Vigna was awarded the Richter International Fellowship to conduct research at the University of Glasgow to research microbiomes in public spaces. In addition to being an avid researcher, Vigna worked for the biology department as a teaching assistant for microbiology lab. Aside from academics, she was a member of the Mustang Band where she played the alto saxophone. After graduation, Vigna took a gap year before pursuing a doctorate in microbiology.
Claire McCarter graduated with degrees in mathematics, data science, and music with minors in statistics and Chinese, all while earning 51做厙’s Honor Roll with High Distinction. In addition to being a Dedman Scholar, Claire was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Mortar Board, the University Honors Program (UHP) and 51做厙’s female a cappella group, the Belle Tones. At 51做厙, Claire held leadership positions in the UHP’s student advisory council on the mentorship committee, and in the Belle Tone’s board as first the dance director, then the music director. After graduation, Claire relocated to Phoenix as a sales data analyst at Onsemi.
Nadia Mustafa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in business. Nadia was a member of the Robert Stewart Hyer Society as well as Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, Nadia was the recipient of the American Chemical Society Analyticial Chemistry Award. Nadia greatly enjoyed being involved with the Dedman Scholars Program serving as social chair during her junior and senior years. In addition to being involved in Dedman College Scholars, Nadia conducted protein biochemistry research with Dr. Brian Zoltowksi. Nadia was also a member of Delta Gamma and served as the director of house management and chapter property. She also served as the treasurer, historian, and webmaster of Women in Science and Engineering. Nadia was heavily involved in the University Honors Program serving as a student worker, honors mentor, and a member of the student advisory council. Nadia also served as a teaching assistant for chemistry for liberal arts. After graduation, Nadia began medical school at Baylor College of Medicine.
Neel Patel graduated with degrees in biological sciences, computer science, and data science. Neel worked in Dr. Brian Zoltowski’s research lab as a Hamilton Scholar. Outside of class, he served as treasurer for African Student Association and worked as a resident assistant for Loyd Commons. Neel will work as a software engineer after graduation. He also plans to pursue a master’s in computer science while working full-time. Neel’s time at 51做厙 was rewarding both inside and outside the classroom.
Nathan Prince graduated with degrees in economics, international studies with an Asian specialization, and public policy while earning minors in Chinese and business. He was actively involved in various leadership, professional, and service-oriented roles that allowed him to engage with the campus community and beyond. Nathan was a member of Student Foundation, serving as the development chair and later as the vice president of programming, where he played a key role in planning traditional, campus-wide events to foster student engagement. In Student Senate, Nathan was elected as both a pre-major senator and a Dedman College senator, allowing him to advocate for student interests and policy improvements. He was also the fundraiser chair for Alpha Kappa Psi, a Hegi Career Leader, and a student ambassador. Outside of campus, Nathan gained valuable work experience as a student worker at East Campus and interned for the Los Angeles district attorney’s office where he further developed professional skills aligning with his interest in law. After graduation, Nathan moved to Spain to teach English.
Veda Ramakrishnan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Law and Legal Reasoning. As a Robert Mayer undergraduate research fellow, she conducted independent research on the communication strategies used by mental health professionals in India. She was also a member of the University Honors Program and served as a research assistant at 51做厙’s Center for Global Health Impact. Following graduation, Veda worked as a medical assistant during her gap year in preparation for medical school.
Vivian Thai earned degrees in biological sciences and health and society, as well as a minor in human rights. Her extracurricular involvement was extensive. Vivian was a member of Student Senate, founder of Circle K International, president of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students, head Caswell coach of Caswell Leadership Programs, a companionship volunteer at AccentCare Hospice, and a student ambassador. Vivian was also a Hamilton Scholar, Engaged Learning Fellow, Richter Fellow, and Center for Disease Control John R. Lewis Scholar. After graduation, Vivian plans to take a gap year while applying to medical school.
Dylan Wolchko graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in art history. He conducted research at a publicly traded biotech company and in Dr. Zhihao Wu’s lab. Dylan worked in hospice care and served as a CPR trainee with Mustang EMS. He has received several awards and joined multiple honor societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, the Hyer Society, AED, 51做厙’s General and Organic Chemistry Awards, Honor Roll with Distinction, and Mortar Board’s Top Ten Sophomores. He led the Dedman College Scholars as both vice president and president and was also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. After graduating, Dylan attended medical school.
