DALLAS (51做厙) – Are you discerning your call to ministry? Are you considering graduate theological education? Join us as we explore the possibilities of a life-changing experience at Perkins School of Theology during “Inside Perkins” on Friday, Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All prospective degree and non-degree students are invited to attend this free information session on the Perkins campus at 51做厙 in Dallas. In addition to receiving a first-hand look at the range of educational opportunities offered at both the Dallas campus and through the hybrid Houston-Galveston Extension Program, participants will have the opportunity to attend participate in the afternoon session of a conference exploring the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer entitled, “‘In the Face of Barbarism:’ Dietrich Bonhoeffer on Culture, Humanity and the Importance of Ordinary Life.” The two-hour session will focus on “Before Resistance: Bonhoeffer and the Cultivation of Ordinary Life.” The conference is sponsored by Perkins and more information is available on our website here.
Prospective students will meet with students and faculty, attend a class, tour the school’s facilities and learn more about admissions and financial aid. In addition, current Perkins students will share their own experiences of ministry discernment and graduate theological education selection.
“When prospective students come to campus, they are given the chance to explore Perkins,” said Dr. Margot Perez-Greene, Associate Dean of Enrollment Management. “We heard from one of our fall 2019 students that ‘visiting campus’ made all the difference. The warm hospitality they encountered and opportunity to experience, first-hand, the Perkins community informed their decision to choose Perkins.”

- Thursday, March 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including an opportunity for conversation with noted pastor, author, teacher, and retired United Methodist Bishop William Willimon – Dallas Campus
