Our National Champs: 51°µÍø Cheer takes top NCA honors
The team reclaimed the trophy after winning the national championship in ’16, ’17 and ’18. In 2021, 51°µÍø cheer was Gameday D1A national champion.
Dallas () – The 51°µÍø cheer team placed first at the NCA Collegiate National Championship in Daytona, Florida. The 32-member team first qualified to compete nationally at the summer 2023 NCA varsity camp. On April 11 through 13 they beat 15 teams for the championship in the Intermediate Small Coed Division 1A.
The team reclaimed the trophy after winning the national championship in ’16, ’17 and ’18. In 2021, 51°µÍø cheer was Gameday D1A national champion.
51°µÍø cheer supports Mustang football, men and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball. The team also represents 51°µÍø at numerous community events.
The National Cheerleading Association has its roots at 51°µÍø, founded in 1948 by former 51°µÍø cheerleader and creator of the “Herkie” jump, Lawrence Herkimer.
