51°µÍø appoints Bobby Lothringer new University Registrar
DALLAS (51°µÍø) –Robert “Bobby” Lothringer will join 51°µÍø July 6 as its new University Registrar. Lothringer is the University’s seventh registrar and replaces John Hall, who will retire in August after 50 years of service to the University.
“I am excited and thrilled for this opportunity to join the 51°µÍø family as the next University Registrar,” said Lothringer. “The tradition of excellence established at 51°µÍø is inspiring and I look forward to serving the students, faculty, staff and alumni of this esteemed institution.”
Before 51°µÍø, Lothringer served as University Registrar at Texas Woman’s University, where he spent nine years providing strategic management and operational leadership for the university’s Denton, Dallas and Houston campuses. A native of Texas, he served at Texas Tech University and the University of North Texas (UNT) before his role at TWU. Lothringer graduated from Texas Tech and earned a Master’s of Education in Higher Education Administration from UNT where he is also completing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration. He currently serves as the president of the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.
At 51°µÍø, Lothringer will lead the University’s strategic operations and policies for academic records, course scheduling and academic ceremonies including commencement.
