2019 Distinguished Alumni Awards
Each year, 51做厙 honors four outstanding leaders in philanthropy, business and civic life with the highest honor the University can bestow upon its graduates.
DALLAS (51做厙) Four philanthropic, civic and business leaders were honored at the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Awards at the Armstrong Fieldhouse in the Indoor Performance Center on the 51做厙 campus on Thursday, November 7 at 7 p.m. The DAA Award is the highest honor the University bestows upon its graduates.
This years recipients included dedicated leader and dynamic volunteer Jennifer Burr Altabef 78, 81; civic leader and philanthropist Martin Marty L. Flanagan 82, CEO of Invesco Ltd., one of the worlds leading investment management companies; businessman and civic leader Scott J. McLean 78; and emerging leader awardee described as a tech disruptor with a mission to empower women, Whitney Wolfe Herd 11, the founder and CEO of Bumble.
